Nippers is a great way for children to make friends, be active, and enjoy the beach in a safe environment.

In Victoria there are over 8,000 nippers aged between 5 and 13 years old that hit our beaches as part of the Junior Development Program each summer.

We currently have around 90 children actively participating in the Sandringham Nipper program, which runs on Saturday afternoons throughout summer.

This season, the program will start on Saturday 25th November 2017 at Sandringham beach with a pool assessment for each of the nippers (from under 8 and above), and will continue through until Saturday 3rd March 2018 (please note that there will be a break for the Christmas/New Year period - exact dates TBC).

Over the 2017-2018 summer, the Nipper program will start at 3pm each Saturday and run through until either 4pm or 4:30pm, depending on the age of the children.

Please keep an eye on the Nipper News which is circulated to members each couple of weeks.

Nipper Age Groups:

In order to enroll on the Nipper program, children need to be a minimum of 5 years of age by the 30th September 2017.

(Please note that if your child is 5 after the cut off date, they may be able to join the program after their birthday, but they potentially will complete 2 seasons in the under 6 age group)
